Fiscal Officer
The Ohio State University Press, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Fiscal Officer to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. With 38 departments, 20+ world-class research centers, and more than 2,000 faculty and staff members, students have the unique opportunity to study with the best artists, scholars, and scientists in their field. The Fiscal Officer oversees the day-to-day fiscal operations of the Press. Initiates purchase order requests, payment requests, travel requests and travel reimbursements. Makes deposits and monitors accounts receivables. Prepares title sales analysis reports. Performs monthly general ledger reconciliation. Prepares monthly and annual financial reports. Serves as primary contact with external book distributor and tracks book inventory and royalty contracts. Calculates and pays author royalties. Utilizes databases to extract sales and costing information. Assists the Press Director with development and fundraising activities. Serves as equipment coordinator for the Press. Prepares responses to annual association surveys. Serves as liaison with Press's outside distribution center, as well as College of Arts and Sciences and various central university departments.
