The University of Nevada Press is recruiting for a Director to provide leadership, vision and management of the Press, as well as, ensuring the publication of high quality books for both scholarly and general audiences.  The Director oversees all administrative aspects of the operation including budgeting, marketing, sales, editorial, acquisitions, fundraising and strategic planning.  The Director reports administratively to the Executive Vice President and Provost of the University of Nevada, Reno and editorially to the University of Nevada Press Editorial Advisory Board, which is comprised of senior faculty from the Nevada System of Higher Education institutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and five years of related professional work experience or a Master’s Degree and three years of related professional work experience.

Related Experience: progressive professional/managerial experience in book publishing and/or scholarly publishing.

Preferred Qualifications

University or scholarly publishing experience
