Book, Jacket, and Journal Show Remote Session

AAUP members NOT attending the annual meeting in Austin. You are invited to participate remotely in the collaboration lab "Book, Jacket, and Journal Show" on Monday, June 12, at 3:30pm (Central time).

Session description:

Publishing is in a state of continuous change. Traditional assumptions about what a book is, how it is manufactured, and how it is distributed are disrupted regularly. How does the AAUP's prestigious and venerable book design competition stay relevant in this environment? How can we ensure that the competition reflects the realities of university press publishing? Do we do enough to promote this significant and demanding endeavor beyond our sphere? Come share your opinions and ideas to ensure that the competition stays relevant to and reflects our community and identify actionable ideas to explore and take forward.

How to participate:

Those not in Austin will be able to participate remotely via Adobe Connect. We welcome individuals from all areas in university press publishing to join in this discussion.
